ISaGRAF Getting Started (Both ISaGRAF 3.x and ISaGRAF 4.x)
 

 

First 2-hour session - Intro and basic operations

____ - Main components and sections of the Workbench / Licensing
____ - How to create variables and custom types
____ - How to create a simple program in LD
____ - How to compile and debug in simulation

____ After the first session, is it recommended that students navigate in the Workbench, and
____ practice covered topics prior to the second session. It is also after this first session that a
____ prototype of the actual application may be started.

Second 2-hour session - languages and objects

____ - Language editor: ST - Structured Text
____ - Language editor: LD - Ladder
____ - Language editor: FBD - Function Block Diagram
____ - How to create function blocks and functions

____ After the second session, students are able to select proper languages for a given task and
____ can therefore adjust codes in the prototype application. The introduction of functions and
____ blocks need to be integrated in the application prototype prior to the last session.

Third 2-hour session - advanced editors and data exchange

____ - Language editor: SFC - Sequencial Function Chart
____ - How to create I/O points
____ - How to exchange data between components (I4 only)
____ - Open - custom subjects

____ After the third and last session, students have covered the basics of the ISaGRAF
____ Workbench, which account for 90% of the development work of typical control applications.
