Summary description :
Data acquisition and control on a drying test bench. Acquisition is run at 250 ms resolution. All data is archived on one computer, also displaying graphics and trends, with reporting capabilities.

Specific challenges:
The customer had an existing proprietary control & acquisition system for the test bench, and as such found it was very difficult to modify. So the customer wanted a modern programming and execution environment. The new system had to run on an existing computer installation. ISaGRAF was chosen as the main application core with PlantVue as the HMI system.

Specifications:
-Data acquisition & control at 250 ms;
-About 15 I/O hooked-up to a WAGO 750 I/O system brick;
-1 PC to perform all tasks;
-Serial communications to two analytical scales;
-Excel reports generated on demand;
-OPC connectivity between ISaGRAF controller and PlantVue on same PC;
-OpenModbus between ISaGRAF and WAGO brick.
